Sohra: In a major development in the ongoing investigation into the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, the main accused Sonam Raghuvanshi, along with Vishal Chauhan, Akash Rajput, and Anand Kurmi, arrived in Sohra today and were immediately taken to the crime scene for the recreation of events.
The accused were first brought to Mawlakhiat before being taken under tight security to the Weisawdong Parking Lot area. From there, they were escorted to Nongriat and Wei Sawdong, where the gruesome incident had taken place. Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem, along with the forensic team, accompanied the accused during the scene reconstruction.
Police had cordoned off the entire parking area to ensure security and maintain order during the proceedings. However, Raj Kushwaha, another key suspect in the case, was not brought to the site as he was reportedly in Indore at the time of the crime and is believed to have issued instructions remotely.
The recreation of the crime scene is a crucial part of the investigation and is expected to shed more light on the sequence of events that led to the tragic death of Raja Raghuvanshi. Further legal proceedings and interrogations are likely to follow in the coming days.
