Staff Reporter

Dimapur, March 24: In a show of unity and determination, the Naga tribe bodies, Naga political groups (NPGs), and the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) gathered in Dimapur today to advance the collective political aspirations of the Naga people. The meeting aimed at fostering stronger cooperation and progress on the Naga issue.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the decision to strengthen and facilitate the Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship (CNCR). Following an agreement signed by the Naga political groups on January 14, 2025, the Naga tribe bodies will officially join the CNCR as participants in the upcoming meeting.

The next meeting, scheduled for April 22, 2025, will bring together the Naga Cultural tribe bodies, Naga political groups, and the FNR to further discuss their collective political goals.

In anticipation of this critical gathering, the Naga tribe bodies have urged the highest leadership of the Naga political groups to attend the meeting. The FNR emphasized the importance of full cooperation from all parties, stating, "Aligned with the CNCR, full cooperation from all parties is essential and deeply valued."

The FNR also appealed to all Nagas to offer prayers and unwavering support for the shared cause, reinforcing the need for unity in this crucial phase of the Naga political journey.
