Shillong, March 17: Six drug peddlers were arrested along with heroin from Lower Lachumiere last night.

This came after a raid was conducted by the anti-narcotic task force of East Khasi Hills based on credible inputs.

5 soap cases of heroin weighing 77.02 grams, 19 vials of heroin weighing 1.71 grams, cash Rs 1.26 lakh, two bikes, one scooty, 6 mobile phones were seized from the possession of the six peddlers, police said.

Legal formalities are being followed and the case being investigated to unearth further linkages, they said.
