While hearing a PIL filed by the Synjuk Ki Waheh Chnong Jowai, the Court said there appears to be a huge gap in the plan which the Jowai Municipality claims to have put in place and in the implementation thereof as complained of by the petitioner.
“Since both the State and the Jowai Municipality are eager to help out the citizens and spare no effort in such regard, it is hoped that a more accurate and appropriate plan of action will be prepared to collect wet and dry garbage from the various localities in Jowai till such time that the permanent arrangement in such regard is made,” it said.
The next hearing will be held on March 21.
