Tabling the state budget today, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said, “We will, therefore, develop a framework for measuring happiness in addition to evaluating performance based on indices like per capita income and sustainable development goals.”
He said that the ultimate goal of all government interventions is citizen well-being and happiness.
“Measuring happiness and taking steps to increase it is a worthwhile endeavour,” Sangma added.
