Jowai, May 22: A massive blaze has completely ravaged the Presbyterian Church at Mupliang which falls under the Nangbah Nangjngi Hadem Presbytery. 

This occurred at around 1.30 am yesterday.

Fortunately nobody was injured in the massive blaze.

Such was the intensity of the blaze that even the arrival of a fire truck proved fruitless as all attempts to stop the fire came to naught.

In this regard, P. Ryngkhlem member of the church committee said that the fire started because of an electrical fault. 

He also informed that construction of the Church which serves around 800 members was completed last year at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore.
