Jowai, April 30: A man has drowned in the waters of the Myntdu River today.

The drowned man has been identified as Dawansame Najiar, (33), son of K. Firstborn Laloo who resides at Loompyrdi, Iongpiah Jowai.

His body was recovered from Mutong Syntu Ksiar where he had initially drowned. Subsequent enquiry found no foul play and the body was handed over to the family members for the last rites on obtaining the PM exemption from the ADM.
