Shillong, March 22: Minister-in-charge of Education Rakkam A Sangma informed the House that the construction works in one residential school have been completed till date.

Replying during the question hour, Sangma however informed that 18 residential schools are yet to be completed in the state.

These include three in West Jaintia Hills - Sabahmuswang residential school (Thadlaskein), Shangpung residential school (Laskein) and Pdengshakap (Amlarem), 2 in East Jaintia Hills - Jalaphet residential school (Saipung) and Byndihati residential school (Khliehriat), 3 in West Garo Hills - Raja Raonggat residential school (Chokpot), Edenbari ABDK residential school (Rongram) and Chitchakgre residential school (Gambegre), 2 in East Garo Hills - Insambal residential school (Kharkutta) and Nongchram Demik residential school (Rongjeng), 1 in South Garo Hills - Kapasipara residential school (Gasuapara), 2 in East Khasi Hills - Mawsmai Nongthymmai residential school (Shella Bholaganj) and Lawbah residential school (Mawsynram), 1 in South West Khasi Hills - Shnongkalong residential school (Ranikor), 2 in West Khasi Hills - Lawbyrtun residential school (Mawthadraishan) and Riangkhain residential school (Mawshynrut) and 3 in Ri Bhoi - Umjan Mawtari residential school (Umsning), Nongrim Synjai residential school (Umling) and Jirang residential school (Jirang).
